Capacity Building at SDMX Global Conference 2025

As with past editions, the SDMX Global Conference 2025 featured an exciting capacity building programme taking place over two days immediately following the plenary sessions.

Two dedicated rooms

• Room 1 targeted Statistician type profiles, including Statistical Assistants, Data Managers, Statistical Managers, Data Analysts, and Methodologists.
• Room 2 targeted Data Engineer profiles, such as Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Data Platform Managers, Data Architects, IT Managers, and Software Developers.

Preparatory materials

Participants were encouraged to undertake preparatory reading and e-learning in order to get the most from the hands-one instruction and guidance:

• An introduction to SDMX for data producers from the .Stat Academy
• SDMX foundation course from ADB and UNSD
• SDMX vocabulary for beginners from the .Stat Academy
• An introduction to SDMX structural modelling for data producers from the .Stat Academy
• SDMX vocabulary for data managers from the .Stat Academy
• SDMX Basics course from Eurostat
